Getting Started with vdm-x

Installation

Getting started with vdm-x is simple. Download the installer for your operating system from our download page and follow the setup wizard.

Windows

1. Download the .exe installer
2. Run the installer and follow the prompts
3. Launch vdm-x from your Start menu

macOS

1. Download the .dmg file
2. Drag vdm-x to your Applications folder
3. Open vdm-x from Launchpad

Linux

Install via your package manager:

# Debian / Ubuntu
sudo apt install vdm-x

# Arch Linux
yay -S vdm-x

Your First Download

Once installed, using vdm-x is straightforward:

1. Copy a video URL from your browser
2. Open vdm-x — it will automatically detect the URL from your clipboard
3. Choose your format — select the quality and format you prefer
4. Click Download — sit back and watch the progress bar fly

Browser Extension

For an even smoother experience, install our browser extension. It adds a download button directly to video pages, letting you save videos with a single click.

The extension is available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Visit the extensions page in your browser’s store and search for “vdm-x”.
